How do I apply for the IGNITE programme?
The applications are now CLOSED for the 2018 intake. Sign up to our newsletter below to be notified of future programmes.
How much time should I allow?
The programme is roughly 25-32 hours of contact over the 12-week period, comprised of:
- Mentoring: 8-12 hours
- Seminars & Workshops: 8 hours
- Meetings & Venue Tours: 7 hours
- Work Experience: 2-5 hours
Event Management participants will also spend time working on their event in their own time, with the Music Production participants spending time working on their recording.
When and where will the IGNITE programme take place?
- There are specific days participants need to commit to attend the seminars, workshops, and meetings. All sessions will be held in Auckland CBD. In terms of the mentoring sessions, the time, location and how you choose to communicate will be discussed on the programme launch day with your mentor. Check out the PROGRAMME for full programme outline and times.
Do I need to be between the ages of 15 and 18?
For the 2018 programme, we are looking for people who are between the ages of 15 and 18 at the start of the programme (7th April). However, the IGNITE Seminars are free and open to all.
Who will my mentor be?
You will be paired with an established music industry professional, taking your musical interest and aspirations into consideration. Read about the MENTORS taking part this year.
Can anyone attend the IGNITE Seminars?
Yes! The IGNITE Seminars held in May are free and open to all. Just RSVP to attend as there is a maximum capacity in the venue.
